LO!
Chicago native LO! grew up with a diverse musical background; training in classical piano, guitar, bass, drums, and vocals. Growing up with post-punk and industrial goth influences—and inspired by the early sounds of Marcus Intalex, Alix Perez, Calibre, Total Science, Good Looking and anything Metalheadz—LO! has been carving out his own musical niche for the last two decades. With a nonstop production itch and limitless desire to grow his style, LO! has gained some serious momentum over the past few years, with well-recognized releases on AFT Records (UK), Rebel Music (UK) and Lotus Mathematics (USA).
LO! continues to grow his craft with a range of soulful drum and bass sporting a jungly edge, alongside experimental LoFi electronica served up à la carte. Always pushing the sounds of our culture, he is capturing the attention of established labels and producers with his latest productions championed by drum and bass pioneer Ray Keith for Dread Recordings (UK), and recent releases on stateside powerhouses LionDub International and Prestige Music.
With his reach expanding internationally, LO! Has played as direct support for Goldie, Bryan Gee, Paul T and Edward Oberon, Alix Perez, Hyroglifics, and Monty. As a resident and honcho at Proper Chicago DNB, you can find LO! curating vibes locally and regionally, where his dubs and soulful track selection are guaranteed to elevate any dance floor vibe.
